Should I get a 7 blade or 10 blade reel?  90% of homeowners should purchase a 7 blade reel mower because more dosen’t equal better.  The number of blades you want depends on how often you will mow.  If you are like most homeowners who will mow 2-3 times per week and might have to go 7 days due to a vacation, the 7 blade is perfect.  If you are a little on the crazy side and will be mowing literally every single day, they you would need a 10 blade.  If you purchase a 10 blade and do not mow everyday, the mower will tend to bog down because you are trying to cut off too much grass at once.
